For new fencers ages 6-9 or graduates from our Foundations Series. This class focuses on teaching the basics of the sport’s techniques, safety, and rules. Our goal for the Altius Beginner Team is to instill confidence and a lifelong love of the sport while teaching the basic skills to support future development

Graduation from the Beginner Team is based on a skills assessment and coaching staff approval

Starting in the 2026-27 Season!

The Intermediate Team further develops the technical and tactical skills of fencers who have graduated from the Beginner Team.

Our intermediate team members travel for regional competitions and sometimes national events. They engage in regular individual lessons to support their development.

Promotion into the Intermediate Team is at the discretion of the coaching staff

The Altius Competitive Team trains to compete at the national level.

Our athletes on this team travel to all levels of competition including national and international events and take multiple individual lessons per week.
